MUS ED 4133/5133 Orff Schulwerk for the Elementary General Music Classroom

Participants in these graduate workshops will experience new and innovative approaches to integrating Orff Schulwerk techniques and methods into the elementary general music classroom. Participants will work on pedagogical tools for not only implementing the elemental instrumentarium but also simultaneously managing a motivating and positive classroom. Movement, singing, and rhythmic games will compliment the instrumental foundation for the Orff approach. Participants will be expected to implement new ideas into their own elementary general music classroom and reflect on the implementation steps and consequential benefits.
