ENGLISH 6150 Current Issues in Secondary English Language Arts: Teaching With/In New Literacies

Students will become familiar with theories of teaching composition and rhetoric in a multimodal communication society. The course will examine ways writing is both mental (epistemological) and material (ontological) so teachers can adapt lessons and craft pedagogies appropriate for their communities. Prerequisite(s): graduate standing; department approval.
