Introduction and review of major issues in the study of race, class, and crime. Examination of recent empirical research on social inequality, crime and the criminal justice system, as well as discussion of the relationship between inequality and criminal justice policy. Prerequisite(s): SOC 1000 (980:001); CRIM 2022 (982:022); junior standing.
