GEOG 4133/5133 Teaching Early US History and Geography

This workshop investigates the push and pull factors related to migration to the American West during the antebellum period. Content will focus on how settlers reached the Mississippi River and crossed into Iowa, with participants exploring the history of their county. The workshop is designed to integrate the new Iowa Core American History Standards and Iowa Core Geography Standards.
