GEOG 4133/5133 Gerrymandering and Political Geography

This workshop integrates US government and geography with a focus on the topic of gerrymandering and redistricting from both a geography and political science perspective. The workshop is co-sponsored with the Iowa State Bar Association and includes an overview and discussion of US Supreme Court cases regarding redistricting as well as the role of geographic tools and technologies in the redistricting process . This professional development address the new Iowa Core Civics/Government and Iowa Core Geography Standards.
