Continuing & Distance Education will be hosting the following Quality Matters (QM) workshops this fall for UNI faculty:
QM Course Design Essentials Workshop - October 23, 9 a.m.-noon via Zoom
Designed for faculty teaching online or teaching a blended course with online interaction, this three-hour workshop expands upon and supplements the QM Course Design Essentials Tutorial offered in Blackboard.
QM Teaching Online Essentials Workshop - October 23, 1-4 p.m. via Zoom
Also designed for faculty teaching online or teaching a blended course with online interaction, this workshop provides participants the opportunity to take a deeper dive into online engagement strategies.
QM Introduction to Teaching Online - Asynchronous online workshop - October 29-November 12
Recommended for faculty interested in the components of effective online teaching, including those new to the environment and individuals who wish to gain additional insights into research-based teaching strategies. A $500 stipend is available.
QM Comprehensive Course Design Workshop - Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR)/Designing Your Online Course (DYOC) - December 10-11, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. via Zoom
Two-day workshop comprised of APPQMR, QM's flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the application of the rubric to online courses, and DYOC, which focuses on learning objectives and overall course alignment. A $1000 stipend is available.
