The University of Northern Iowa is accepting applications now through May 15 for two Master of Arts in Education degree programs, Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. Scheduled to begin June 2019, Early Childhood Education students will learn about different curricula, issues, trends, teaching methods, research and leadership roles. The Elementary Education program supports faculty-guided teacher research on relevant issues within the classroom context and includes topics such as curriculum issues, literacy, mathematics, science, social studies and action research. The Elementary Education program begins August 2019.
Both programs can be completed in two years and the program utilizes a cohort model in which a group of students moves together through the course sequence, with the degree to be awarded in 2021. All courses are offered entirely online through Blackboard, a dynamic eLearning platform that will enhance your learning experience and sense of community with fellow classmates.
